Calling all pet lovers! The season is changing and soon it will chilly. The only thing missing in your home is a furry friend to keep you company and cozy.
Animals are the best addition to a family of two or a family of six. Families with children are even better because the pet will receive the utmost attention and love from everyone who lives there.
Are you in the market for a pet? The Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is putting on Woofstock 2016 at Jenks Riverwalk Amphitheater on Saturday, September 24. This non-profit organization has a mission to reduce the pet overpopulation, by promoting responsible pet ownership and ensuring the humane treatment of animals through community collaboration and education.
At the Riverwalk event, you’ll be able to rescue and adopt a pet, especially the adoption of dogs! Woofstock will be a pet-friendly event with various vendors and activities for attendees and their pets as well.
Pet owners and attendees are invited to come out for a day of fun filled activities, music, and food all that’s within a pet-friendly atmosphere. The most important aspect is to adopt homeless pets from area animal rescues and shelters. In addition to the rescue groups, attendees will be able to visit local pet-related businesses on Riverwalk that include vets, trainers, retailers, groomers and doggy daycare.
If you choose to adopt a pet, you’re able to take advantage of $20 microchipping from OAA and $25 animal communication sessions with Pam Case.
Woofstock is one of Oklahoma’s largest and beneficial pet adoption and day of fun! Stop by on Saturday, September 24 from 10 am to 2 pm for fun, pet contests and more!
